How to sign a PDF without printing it
Printing a document just to sign it and scan it back is slow. You can add your signature directly to the PDF on your phone or computer in about a minute.
Sign PDFDraw or type your signature. Free, private, nothing uploaded.
Open Sign PDFSign with PDFCop
- Open pdfcop.com/sign-pdf and choose the PDF.
- Create your signature: draw it with your finger or mouse, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload a photo of your signature on paper.
- Drag the signature to the signature line and use the blue dot to resize it.
- Add the date or your printed name with Add date and Add text.
- Tap Save signed PDF and download.
Getting a neat signature
- On a phone, turn it sideways for a wider drawing area.
- For the most natural look, sign on white paper with a dark pen, photograph it and use Upload. PDFCop removes the white background.
- Use the same signature every time so your documents look consistent.
Is an image signature legally valid?
For many everyday documents — rental applications, delivery receipts, school and workplace forms — a signature added this way is commonly accepted. Some documents need a certified digital signature (for example certain government, banking or court filings). If in doubt, ask whoever will receive the document what they accept.
